They put all these progress bars for skills, software logos etc. A resume and a cover letter should be effective in providing information to the recruiter. You don’t need to decorate it with unnecessary items. It’s a better idea to use functional elements instead to uplift the design aesthetically. A heavily decorated resume or a cover letter will not make your career look better.
