AI-Driven LinkedIn Carousel Generator

Describe a topic in one sentence: the tool generates a complete LinkedIn carousel — layout, brand identity and content — in seconds. Built in-house by AD Creative Lab, it stands here as concrete proof: the same approach can be designed to your own specs.

Context

Why this tool exists

Designing a LinkedIn carousel by hand takes 30 minutes to several hours, and visual consistency drifts over successive publications. AD Creative Lab built this tool to remove that friction from its own content production — and then drew a broader conclusion from it, applicable to other teams.

Manual production
Before
Slide-by-slide layout in a design tool
Brand identity re-applied by hand on every publication
30 minutes to several hours per carousel
Publishing pace depends on the designer's available time
With the tool
After
A 5 to 9-slide carousel generated in seconds
Brand identity encoded once, applied automatically to every slide
Content adapts instantly to a template change
Publishing pace depends on need, not availability

What sets this approach apart

Why this is a strong product differentiator

Speed
A full carousel in seconds, against 30 minutes to several hours of manual production.
Brand consistency
The visual identity is encoded once; every generated slide follows it automatically, with no manual touch-up.
No single AI-vendor lock-in
Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, or a local model: the system depends on no single service.
Extensible system
Slide formats are defined in a configuration file, not hard-coded: adding a new one doesn't mean touching the application.
Native application
A real desktop executable, direct PNG and PDF export to disk, with none of a browser's constraints.
Human + AI collaboration
Every field stays manually editable, or AI-editable slide by slide: the AI proposes, the art direction stays human.

The template system, live

Seven slide formats are defined in the system: cover, content, stats, donut breakdown, comparison, process, engagement. A simplified preview of four of them.

Every format reads the same brand rules — colors, typography, signature — defined once in the system.

Under the hood

Making AI-driven generation reliable

A language model with no constraints produces valid JSON, but not always a usable carousel: empty titles, the wrong format picked, no closing slide. Reliability comes from a rule system applied before and after every AI call, not from the model alone.

Encoded design rules: every slide format has its own constraints (title length, a highlighted keyword, expected structure) passed to the model before generation.
Validation and auto-repair: after generation, content is checked and fixed — empty titles rebuilt, badly-formatted lists reconverted into structured bullets.
Guaranteed closing slide: every carousel ends on an engagement slide with a complete question; if the generated question is too short, a second AI call rewrites it from the content already produced.

Design choices

Building bespoke rather than assembling generic tools

The same question applies to any repetitive creative process: automate with what already exists, or have a system designed that matches the need exactly.

Beyond this project

What AD Creative Lab can build for you

This carousel generator is one example among others. The principle — encode an art direction once, put it to work behind AI-driven generation — transposes to other needs:

  • Internal AI-driven content generators, aligned with your brand identity
  • Design systems connected to your production tools (Figma, CMS, presentations)
  • Bespoke platforms or business applications, from prototype to working product
  • Automation of repetitive creative workflows specific to your activity

Frequently asked

What people usually ask

No. It's an internal tool, built by AD Creative Lab for its own content production. It serves here as concrete proof: the same approach — an encoded design system, AI-driven generation — can be designed to your own specific needs.

Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, or a model run locally via Ollama, with no dependency on any single service.

No. The AI generates a content structure from an art direction already encoded by a designer; every field stays manually editable, slide by slide, and the final call stays human.

No. The principle — a layout system encoded once, fed by AI generation validated against precise rules — applies to other formats: presentations, reports, product sheets, sales content.

It depends on the scope: number of formats, complexity of the generation system, integration constraints. The starting point is always a conversation about the real need, before scoping anything.
